How to Cook Eggless Cake in a Pressure Cooker?

Just follow simple steps given below-
We can make great cakes in a pressure cooker and here’s a cooker cake recipe for you all. This is an eggless cake if you wish you can add eggs to the cake. You may also like this pressure cooker chocolate cake recipe.

Ingredients-

Salt - 1 cup
Powdered Sugar - ¼ cup
Milk powder - 1 cup
Butter - ¼ cup
Vanilla essence or extract - 1 tsp
Salt - ½ tsp
Condensed milk - ½ cup
Corn refined flour - 1 cup
Baking soda - ¼ tsp
Baking powder - ½ tsp
Milk - 1 cup
Cashewnuts, chopped - 2-3 tbsp
Raisins - 1 tbsp

Method:-

Heat 1 cup salt in a whistle-free pressure cooker on medium gas.

1. Shift the flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder together in a bowl.

2. In another bowl, Cream the butter, powdered sugar, and milk powder together.

3. Add milk and vanilla essence to the creamed mixture and mix until well combined.

4. Add the flour mixture in 2 additions to the above and whisk thoroughly until no traces of flour remain.

5. Finally, add the cashew nuts, raisins and fold in gently.

6. Pour the mixture into a greased 8” cake pan and lightly tap on the kitchen counter to remove any air bubbles.

7. Know more how to bake a cake in the pressure cooker, bake the cake for about an hour. You can check after 45 mins to see if it’s done. It took about an hour to be done. You can test with a toothpick or skewer to make sure the cake is cooked through.

8. Let the cake sit in the pan for about 10 mins and gently invert it onto a plate or wire rack.

9. Let it get cool down, slice, and serve!

Notes :

1. If you want to bake the cake in an oven, preheat oven to 180C/350F and bake for 30-35 mins until a knife or toothpick comes out clean when inserted.

2. If you want a chocolate sponge cake, add 2-3 tbsp cocoa powder to the flour when you shift it. You can also check out this chocolate cake recipe made in pressure cooker.

3. If you don’t want eggless sponge cake, add 3 eggs instead of the milk powder + milk.
